- Born August 18, 1874, after having studied medicine at the School of Algiers, then Montpellier, came to Paris, where he defended his doctoral thesis on May 25, 1899 about "the role of mineral salts in the organism in the phenomena of Nutrition and Defense
- Doctorate in medicine obtained in 1899, at the age of 25.
- Previous studies: baccalaureate philosophy-letters and limited science in Algiers in 1892, 8 registrations in Algiers (November 1892 - June 1894) and 4 in Montpellier in 1895
