  • Of a well known family of religious scholars from the district near Ana in Al-Anbar. His father, Syed Ahmed al Khadar, was an imam of the Qumaria mosque. He was a merchant, his younger brother was judge Akram al-Khadar
  • lived with their uncle Sayed Amin Al-Khadar, who was the headmaster of the district school.
